Our Opal Plugs are black in color with a raw synthetic (Lab Grown) opal shape encased in a clear dome flare to magnify the opals brilliance & color.

This is a special kind of opal that is compatible with borosillicate glass. Real opal contains water and will cause the glass to crack. Other synthetic opal that is set in metal is plastic or resin based and will melt when used in glass.

Each opal will vary in shape, size and color (fire) from piece to piece. Black reversible back. We do our best to provide pairs of matching jewelry by manufacturing 2 at a time.

Absolutely beautiful plugs
I recently ordered a pair of single flare opal plugs which was my first purchase from GWS. Usually I buy cheaper glass plugs to stretch up with, but this time I decided I wanted to treat myself to something a bit nicer and GWS did not disappoint with these! Best quality work I have ever seen in plugs/gauges/tunnels etc. Amanda was AMAZING while helping me place my order. She was very specific on caring for my ears as well, I learned a lot from her.
